Fat Cyclist – 100 Miles of Nowhere: Inner Circle, Regents Park, London

18 03 2010

To those of you who don’t know, there if this guy in America (Elden) who cycles a lot but who carried a bit of weight. So he started a blog to embarrassing himself into losing weight by posting his weight everyday. He also has a wife (Susan) who was fighting cancer (she died last year) so he started to use his blog, a humorous blog, to not only talk about cycling but to raise awareness and money in the fight against cancer. He’s a bit of a hero of mine.

One of his crackpot money raising schemes is the ‘100 miles of nowhere‘ ride, where you literally ride 100 miles no where! So that’s 100 miles on a turbo trainer, or round the block or as these guys below, round Regent Parks’ inner ring road.

I’m not going to do it this year, but I have thought about riding the massive 240 meters from my house to the corner shop and back again approximately 285 times to make up the 100 miles.

Go on, do it this year, I’m going to and the inner ring of Regents park is my route of choice.

We can all do it together!

Get in touch if you’re keen.
